Upward Chaplain - Trinity Baptist

Trinity Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC looks to employ a Chaplain for their Upward Sports Program.  This is a part-time position for the months of January-February. 

Job Description: Upward Chaplain

Upward Experience: Upward Basketball and Cheerleading Ministry at Trinity Baptist Church is an outreach sports ministry to serve and engage our community using the tool of sport and being intentional in sharing the gospel.

Experience: A Christian self-starter that is people oriented, proficient with making people feel connected and welcomed, and embodies relational community as a part of the vision and mission of the Upward Ministry at Trinity Baptist Church.  

Responsibilities include:

• Engage in warm welcoming conversations with players, families, coaches, and referees
• Model respectful engagement and encouragement for all involved on gamedays
• Engage volunteers for devotions with players, coaches, families on Saturday game days
• Utilize the Upward devotional activities with enthusiasm/energy
• Collaborate and share communal findings with Recreation Outreach Center Coordinator
• Have an understanding and ability to communicate spiritually during devotions
• Pray at the end of the devotion

Time Frame: January – February
                      Game times: 8:30 am-4:30 pm
                      Devotions are held 20 minutes after the start of the game each hour
                     Scheduling times/days can be split; a minimum of a 3-hour block on a day

Job Type: In Person
 
 Pay:  $20/Hour
